1) Kanye’s DONDA announcement and criticism of education via his twitter. Never ever change, Yeezy. NEVER. 

2) I saw the video for “Bad Romance” for the first time in a long time and it was like falling in love with Gaga all over again. 

3) I learned today via my BFF 5-ever Peter that leftover rice and beans are called “skippin’ Jenny” and I find this fact both ridiculous and delightful.

4) My sister from another mister/platontic life partner Kate has embraced Downton Abbey with the fire of a thousand suns and now I have someone to talk to about Downton that actually LIVES WITH ME and I can leave the 15 year old fangirls on tumblr alone. I think they were starting to get creeped out by the fact that I was actually alive to witness the 1980’s. (sidenote: this does not take away from how much I have loved sharing DA talks with you, Laura. When you’re back in NYC you are going to get so many hugs from me you better prepare yourself lady)

5) While doing the dishes I randomly thought about Jay Z helping his yet-to-be-born child with their homework in like 8 years or so and this image made me smile uncontrollably.

6) I just painted my nails a color called “Sell Out” and it’s a sparkly emerald color and it reminds me of being 14 when I painted my nails crazy colors while listening to Bikini Kill.

7) My friends are amazing and brilliant. My friend Margaret is writing for cool websites and publishing hilarious TV recaps, my friend Brandon interns at amazing places and does work for the greater good of society, my friend Alexis is currently in Taiwan and will be visiting Cambodia soon, my friend Megan is in Nicaragua, my friend Will works for the Mayor of Providence, RI and will most likely become a Senator and he will not be a typical politician asshole, my friends Amanda and Joe are journalists in NC and they are true students of journalism and they believe in investigation and research and bringing the public the truth…and this is just a small snapshot of the amazing friends I have. Every single one of them is making a difference somewhere and contributing to this planet in a positive way. They are all funny and smart and interesting and I have no idea why they’re friends with me but thank fuck they are.
