I have stayed in this very hotel in Beijing!!! The panda lady was not there when I was! NO FAIR!
Um, @Deefunk? You might want to look at this for a second. And then look away.
“Good evening everyone. Thanks for coming to the lovely Intercontinental Hotel in central Beijing. I’m your host tonight, and my name is Buddy. A few of you are probably wondering, ‘Now how’s Buddy playing that there pianuh with them fat panda paws?’ The answer is, panda practice, baby. I’d be grateful for any bamboo shoots you leave in the ol’ tip jar tonight. Buddy the Panda is a starving artist too, know what I mean? Yeeaahhhh, baby, yeah. I also take requests. Anyone have a special song they wanna hear tonight? (Silence.) Anyone? (More silence.) Dang, y’all are a quiet bunch. But it’s all right, Buddy the Panda wants to provide the soundtrack for whatever occasion y’all are here for at the lovely Intercontinental Hotel in central Beijing. Over there is Sam the barkeep — wave hello, Sam! (Sam doesn’t.) Damn, Sam. Hey, that rhymes, but Sam’s an uncooperative son-of-a-gun. (Beat.) And maybe a dick. (Beat.) Anyway, I’m still taking requests. (Silence.) Okay, fuck you too then, here’s a little something by everyone’s favorite, Justin fucking Bieber.”

Some days you just need to watch a panda cub hug another panda cub.

Scottish Pandas of the Day: One of two Giant Pandas — the first of their kind to live in the UK in nearly two decades — stares out of its enclosures shortly after arriving in Edinburgh.
Tian Tian (Sweetie) and Yang Guang (Sunlight), who were flown in by FedEX “Panda Express” from China.
The eight-year-old couple will call Edinburgh Zoo home for the next 10 years. Officials there hope the panda pair will eventually bless the zoo with cubs.
A group of giant panda cubs nap at a nursery at the research base of the Giant Panda Breeding Centre in Chengdu, in southwest China’s Sichuan province. China has launched its once-a-decade panda census, trying to determine how many of the endangered animals live in the wild amid efforts to boost numbers. The census - the fourth since it was first launched in the 1970s - is also expected to ascertain pandas’ living conditions, ages and any change in habitat. According to the count a decade ago, there were 1,596 pandas left in the wild in China, with 1,206 of them living in Sichuan.
AHHHHHHH
the only thing better in naptime is naptime as a baby panda with a bunch of other baby pandas.
